approach
Grammar, syntax, blah blah
blah.
When we get these things wrong, we trip our readers up. It's
difficult to enjoy reading about a rose's scent if we stumble
across it in the middle of a long, convoluted sentence.
Word-craft is crucial, and I will let you know when I think your
writing is grammatically incorrect or just plain muddled.
What I'm really interested in,
though, is what you are saying. Once we've ironed out the
grammatical glitches, how does your
writing affect me? Do I care about your characters? Is 'filigree'
the right word? Does your poem about your dog move me?
What are you yearning to write, and how can you begin?
I have many years of experience as
a writer, but I have a many more as a reader. I am passionate
about reading - books have enriched my life. I will be your
objective, patient, informed, careful, interested reader. I
will help you to polish up your writing, and to say what you really
want to say. And to say it with beauty.
